For shoppers

What happens when I click a product on a creator's shop?

Each product card links through a short Rolinko redirect. We record the click, set an attribution cookie, and send you straight to the retailer's own product page. The purchase itself happens on the retailer's site, on their terms.

Do I pay more when I buy through a creator's link?

No. Prices are the retailer's normal prices. The commission a creator earns is paid by the brand, not added to your order. Creator discount codes can actually make your order cheaper.

How long does a creator get credit for my purchase?

The attribution window defaults to 30 days from your click and is configured per store. If you buy within that window — or use the creator's discount code at any time — the sale is credited to that creator.

How do affiliate links work?

When you add a product to your shop, Rolinko creates a trackable link for it. Every click is recorded against your profile before the shopper is redirected to the product page. Sales on connected brand stores are then matched back to your clicks, codes, and referral links.

How are commissions calculated?

The brand sets the rate — either a store-wide default or a rate negotiated with you individually through a brand invite. When an attributed order comes in, your commission is calculated from the order value at your rate and appears in your earnings dashboard.

Why is my commission Pending, and when does it become Available?

New commissions are locked for 30 days to cover the retailer's refund window. A daily sweep moves commissions from Pending to Available once the lock expires. If the order is refunded in the meantime, the commission is reversed; partial refunds reduce it proportionally.

How do discount codes attribute sales to me?

Brands can issue you a personal discount code on their store. Any order that uses your code is credited to you — even if the shopper never clicked one of your links. Code performance shows up alongside your link earnings.

How do I connect my Shopify store?

From the brand dashboard, start the Shopify connection and approve the app on Shopify's authorization screen. Rolinko then installs a lightweight tracking script on your storefront and subscribes to your order webhooks. You can disconnect at any time.

How does Rolinko know which creator drove a sale?

Attribution runs as a waterfall on each order: a creator reference carried on the link the shopper clicked, then cart attributes set by the tracking script, then any creator discount code on the order, then the referring storefront. The first match wins, and each conversion shows which method attributed it.

How do commission rates work?

You set a store default rate, and you can negotiate individual rates per creator when you invite them. The rate in effect when an order arrives is what the commission is calculated at. Refunds automatically reverse or prorate the related commission.

Can I give creators discount codes?

Yes. Rolinko creates real Shopify price rules for creator-specific codes (percentage or fixed amount), tracks each code's orders and revenue, and uses code redemptions as an attribution signal.
